It is fairly easy to recognize that much of the suffering we are witnessing around the world is rooted in injustice. What might be not so easily recognized is that such wounds linger in the cultural consciousness for many generations and can only be healed through the reconciliation, mercy and compassion of Christ Jesus.
What often complicates such community wide healing and closure is that much of the wounds of the past were wrought by those carrying the banner or ministering in the name of Christ. The result is cultural antagonism toward the very person who holds the answers to bring healing and renewal - the person of Christ Jesus.
A primary focus of Restoration Global Ministries is to work closely with Pastors and Church leaders in Haiti to bring community and national transformation to its wounded soul. We believe and teach that the leaders of the Christian community must be first to take responsibility for the national injustices of the past and present and be willing to live as repentant and responsible servants to their community. Only then can they rightly prayerfully endeavor to be agents of healing and restoration.
We believe that the first step in community and national restoration is for the Christian community to lay down divisions and offenses to embrace and respect one another – in spite of variations of interpretation or different approaches to worship.
We believe that once spiritual unity is restored, the Christian community as a whole is indebted to serve their regions through prayer, service and acts of compassion, especially with regards to societies most vulnerable: the children, the sick and the elderly.
We believe it is Christ's intention that restoration be experienced in all areas of life: Spiritual, Social, Economical, and Physical. Those who have experienced His grace should endeavor to bless their communities in every aspect of life.
We believe that when God's people humble themselves to pray, repent and seek his face with a view to serve their communities, rather than their own interests, God will initiate healing of their land in every way.
